Absolutely! This is so true and especially in those "liminal space" seasons of transition. 2012-2019 was such a season for me too. I am so hyperactive! I had never enjoyed contemplative practices and just "hanging out" and not rushing the transition. But now, I'm so much more relaxed and enjoy quiet. You're not the first comment that makes me think I should clarify that the people and types are examples, and not a category to fit in. That we can all learn from the natural strengths ("unique spiritual personality") of others, and we can understand them, and pursue other ways of experiencing God too.

When you read "Joy's" story on p36, you are actually reading mine. I wrote more on this in the ABOUT section of this site. It was learning about this "pathway" in Gary Thomas' book SACRED PATHWAYS that was transformational and healing for me. Growing up, and as a young adult, I had alway felt like I didn't truly love God in the way I was "supposed to," because I was so different than others in my "Intellectual" church.
